Data deletion
How to delete your Zana account and data, remove Zana from Instagram or Facebook, and what happens after a request.
Last updated 19 October 2026
Delete your Zana account
- In the Zana app open More › Settings › Delete account.
- Enter the code we email to your account address to confirm.
- The request is recorded and we email you a receipt. Until it is processed you can cancel it from the same screen.
If you cannot use the app, write to the contact address below from your account email. Never send passwords, sign-in codes or access tokens by email or message.
What we delete
We process each request within 30 days and email you when it is done. We delete:
- your account, sessions, devices and team memberships;
- every business where you are the only owner, with its catalog, photos, documents, customers, conversations, orders and bookings;
- the connections to Instagram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and TikTok, after revoking our access, and the data we received from them.
If your business has other owners, it stays with them and only your membership is removed. If other team members remain in a business you own alone, we email you first so you can transfer it.
What we keep
Order and payment records that tax or accounting law requires us to keep are stored securely and only for the period the law sets. Copies in backups disappear when the backups expire. A record that a deletion request was completed is kept without your personal details.
Remove Zana from Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp
- Instagram: Settings › Website permissions › Apps and websites, then remove Zana.
- Facebook: Settings & privacy › Settings › Business integrations, then remove Zana.
- WhatsApp and TikTok: disconnect the channel in the Zana app under Channels.
After you remove access we no longer receive new messages from that channel. To delete the data we already hold, request account deletion as described above or write to us.
Customers who messaged a business
If you messaged a business through Instagram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, TikTok or its Zana page, that business controls your conversation and order data, so you can ask it directly to delete them.
You can also write to us at the contact address below. Tell us the business name, the channel and your username or phone number on that channel; do not send other personal data. We will verify the request, forward it to the business and help it delete your data within 30 days.
What is not deletion
Signing out, uninstalling the app or disconnecting a channel does not delete your data. Use one of the steps above.
